Job summary
Spring Branch Dental Care is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team in Spring Branch, Texas. In this dynamic role, you will perform a comprehensive range of general dental assistant duties while also providing advanced surgical assistance during oral and maxillofacial procedures working directly alongside Dr. Chavez. This position involves assisting during general treatments as well as specialized surgical procedures performed under General Anesthesia/Sedation supervised by an MD, requiring an assistant who is highly adaptable, attentive to clinical flow, and excellent at professional collaboration.

Key responsibilities
General Dental Assisting — Assist with routine restorative care including fillings, crowns, bridges, and preventative procedures.
Surgical Assistance — Perform advanced four-handed dentistry during complex extractions, dental implants, and biopsies alongside Dr. Chavez.
Anesthesia Collaboration — Work closely with Dr. Chavez and the supervising MD to ensure a safe, efficient operating environment during General Anesthesia/Sedation cases.
Patient Care & Impressions — Mix dental materials, fabricate temporary restorations, and take accurate digital impressions using intraoral scanners.
Software Documentation — Utilize Eaglesoft efficiently to manage digital charting, treatment planning, precise clinical notes, and surgical consent forms.
Diagnostics — Capture clear digital X-rays, panoramic films, and 3D cone beam (CBCT) scans.
Sterilization — Maintain strict sterile fields and clean operatories in compliance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines.
Post-Op Care — Deliver compassionate post-operative instructions to patients and caretakers for both general and surgical treatments.
Required qualifications
Licensure — Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license is required.
Experience — Minimum 2–3 years of clinical dental assisting experience (experience in both general dentistry and oral surgery strongly preferred).
Software — Strong proficiency using Eaglesoft software.
Certifications — Active X-ray / Radiology certification is required.
Life Safety — Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
